Did you know that Deerfield Towne Center in Mason, Ohio has such a wide selection of retail outlets that an adventure can be had by shoppers of every age? From furniture to sporting goods, cinemas to candles, accessories to jewelry, crafts to vacuums, Deerfield Towne Center has it all.
My shopping escapade began with the purchase of a bridal shower gift at Bed, Bath & Beyond. After acquiring the bride’s registry I moseyed around the store a few times finding the perfect gift. The selections are phenomenal. And to top it off, at the checkout counter I found there was a “Free Do It Yourself Wrapping Station”. Just my cup of tea!
I next headed to Whole Foods, America’s First Certified Organic Grocer. Did you know they have a hot/cold buffet with sushi, burgers, pizza and so much more? Whole Trade flowers are available, as well as Melissa & Doug Toys. A great energizing stop for the entire family.
Rounding the corner of the Towne Center I walked into the kid’s store, Crazy 8 (Gymboree Corp) a leading specialty children’s retailer. I couldn’t refuse a cute magenta sweater dress, hat and matching tights for my granddaughter. Deerfield shopping mall has numerous baby/children’s shops from which to choose.
Next stop was White House/Black Market. I thought I would check out the dresses for a black tie event I was attending. The staff was ever so helpful, bringing dresses, skirts, and matching jewelry to me. This is one of 12 women’s clothing stores and boutiques at Deerfield Towne Center.
“Giving back isn’t something we do, it’s who we are.” This is the logo of one of the newest stores, Altar’d State. There are 30 stores in the US. This is a must-see fashion shop, which stocks give-back brands such as Altar’d State Brand, FashionABLE, Krochet Kids, Bits, States of Love, The Giving Keys, FEED and Toms. So why not make a purchase, knowing you are helping someone in need?
Claire’s and Charming Charlie (check out my blog on Charming Charlie here) offer so many options to accessorize any outfit. My creativity is fed when visiting organized, color coordinated shops such as these.
The merchandise at Francesca’s changes every five days. It is a boutique containing clothing, shoes, gifts and jewelry. So this is a ”must return often” shop.
Fashion Tip 1: Few people can pull off head-to-toe baggy. So group your flowing pieces with something body-conscious. Leggings are perfect for this. You can find a pair for yourself at several of the shops at Deerfield Towne Center.
Jos. A. Banks is the sole men’s shop, and the displays demonstrate just how to put a total outfit together. Showcasing complete outfits always makes me buy more and cuts down on my browsing time, thus creating more spending time!
Mention health and beauty and you can be massaged, groomed, made up and painted all at one stop. The beauty supply store Ulta Beauty has everything, even a salon. And guys feel like a king at Roosters Men’s Grooming Center. Becoming Mom pampers the mother-to-be.
Did I mention the unique shoe shops? Foot Solutions takes the time to fit you. They not only fit you, but watch you walk to make sure your feet will be coddled and well cared for long after you leave the shop. When I was a child I wore Stride Rite shoes and there is one at Deerfield Towne Center. Going hiking? Track ‘N Trail may be just the shop for you.
Archiver’s is a scrapbooking extravaganza plus so much more. This may be a “Girl’s Night Out” adventure or a place to take family when they are in town for a visit.
My stop at Hot Mama was a jean shopping treat. There are many colors and styles to choose from, and I learned that nowadays my white jeans can be worn year round. Just the thing to wear with my turtlenecks.
Fashion Tip 2: When in doubt, go with the smaller size in jeans. Those jeans will stretch, and nothing’s more unflattering than the unintentionally baggy backside.
So take the whole family on an adventure at Deerfield Towne Center or leave the guys at the cinema. With 11 restaurants, a movie theatre, spas for mothers-to-be and pampering salons, clothing for babies, children, women and men, everyone will find some treasures.
