Where can you find snow at a beach? Only in Warren County!
The Beach Waterpark may be known for its water slides and real sand, but it’s about to freeze over! Opening in 2014, Beach Mountain promises to make sure “every day is a snow day” with an exhilarating 400-foot snow tubing hill!
Open in mid-November, Beach Mountain uses patented SnowMagic technology to create temperature independent snow using no additives or artificial materials. That means that even if it’s 70 degrees outside, you can be sure that what you’re zooming down the hill on is real snow.
Real snow means that you’ll get the full tubing experience, and it also means that you should dress both according to the weather (if it’s a little on the warm side) and as if you were going sledding – which means layers and waterproof clothing like mittens or gloves, boots and outerwear. Make sure to bring extra socks! You’ll want to be warm and dry for your ride home or any other activities you have planned!
Beach Mountain is meant to be a family friendly experience, so children as young as three years old are able to go tubing. There is a separate, smaller tubing area provided for children ages 3-6 (those who are a little scared of the big hill), and there is also a play snow village set up in this section where they can make snowmen and igloos or create their own fun.
When you and your family are all tuckered out from racing each other down the hill, you can relax with a steaming cup of hot chocolate and some warm snacks from the concession area. Snow tubing sessions are two hours long, though more time can be purchased either before or after your session begins if you decide you want more excitement. Don’t worry about crowds either – there are 10 tubing lanes available!
Beach Mountain has lots to offer when it comes to family fun, but to make sure that you have the best experience possible, check out important details like operating hours and weather conditions before your trip.
Snow tubing at Beach Mountain is an activity that everyone can enjoy, which makes it a great option for both groups and families. No experience or special equipment is needed. All that you need to do is jump on a tube, zoom down the hill and then do it all over again.
See you there!
