One of the most unique ways to start off your grown-up Warren County weekend is with a visit to Fort Ancient Earthworks & Nature Preserve in scenic Oregonia. The largest and best-preserved prehistoric hilltop enclosure in the United States, this one-of-a-kind site is home to more than 2,000 years of Native American history and culture. An interactive museum, seasonal outdoor garden, picnic area, and 2.5 miles of breathtaking hiking trails complete the Fort Ancient experience.

Next, head on over to Morrow, Ohio’s Valley Vineyards Winery & Brewery for drinks and dinner. One of Warren County’s most unique dining gems, Valley Vineyards is the second largest vineyard in the state of Ohio, and the recipient of numerous wine industry awards. Guests are invited to sample those award-winning wines, masterfully produced using 28 varieties of grapes from the Ohio River Valley, as well as a variety of Cellar Dweller craft beers also brewed by the vineyard’s staff. To top it all off, the vineyard’s weekend cookouts feature grill-your-own steaks and salmon. A cookout at a winery–that’s hard to beat.
